Climb the peaks of Anaga – hiking tour
Starting from La Laguna, we reach the Anaga, the jewel of Tenerife and a forest unrivalled anywhere in the world. The nature reserve is very diverse. To use an analogy, the vegetation is as diverse as the different nationalities in New York. In addition to cacti, there are laurel, ferns, beautiful flowers, cactus, palms and tens of thousands of other plants. Anaga is a humid, mossy rainforest where the plants feel like paradise on earth.
Our trek will take us into the dense forest, and to climb the peaks you will need a guide with local knowledge, as he or she will know the trails and safe access to Anaga’s peaks. We will have several summit ascents, from where we will have views of the Atlantic Ocean, the northern part of the island dotted with trade wind clouds, and the wild, volcanic desert coast of Tenerife. From the birds’ flight level, you can look down on this stunningly beautiful landscape. During the day we will visit several coastal areas where you can feel the power of the ocean. If you wish, you can then sample Canarian cuisine in a local restaurant.
The photos speak for themselves. A real bucket-list activity, not in the tourist books.
Important info:
Ideal for couples, groups of friends, families with older children, but if you are alone on the island, you should still come with us. The programme starts in small groups. Each tour is different – we explore different places and conquer different peaks.
